335. What Your Resistance is Trying to Tell You

What if the things you're avoiding are trying to tell you something?
As I've been exploring open loops and the mental weight of unfinished business, I've realized there's something deeper at play. These open loops are created by past versions of ourselves, and when we keep avoiding them, they can hold us back from becoming who we want to be.
In this episode of Wednesday in the Wild, I explore why reluctance deserves our attention. The resistance we feel isn't always about the task itself. Sometimes it's about the story we're telling ourselves, the fear we're carrying, or what we believe taking action will mean about us.
In this episode, you'll learn:
-
How unfinished business can keep you mentally and emotionally tied to who you've been.
-
Why resistance and reluctance are worth paying attention to rather than simply pushing through or ignoring.
-
How to uncover the thoughts, beliefs, and fears underneath the things you keep avoiding.
-
Why resistance can reveal something you genuinely want to do, become, or have.
-
How recognizing what's holding you back creates an opportunity to make a deliberate choice.
-
How I moved through my fear of judgment and began enjoying showing up on social media.
-
How closing old loops can create space for your next chapter of becoming.
The bottom line: Your resistance may be pointing toward something that matters deeply to you. When you understand what's underneath it, you can decide whether to keep letting it hold you back—or move forward into the person you're becoming.
